Thank you for visiting my website!

Over the years, we’ve done a lot together. We’ve created high wage jobs in the region, fought hard to win and preserve a living wage, restored the Santa Fe River, and sharply increased the generation of local, renewable energy. Working with many of you in Northern New Mexico as Santa Fe’s Mayor these last six years, I’ve learned so much about how to balance job creation and economic growth with preserving our environment, heritage and culture. The work we’ve done is meaningful. And, we’ve still got more to do.

I’ve announced my candidacy to serve the region as a State Legislator in House District 46. I’ll always be grateful to Speaker Lujan for his years of service and I thank him for all he’s done for the people of New Mexico. I’m humbled by the encouragement I’ve received from so many of you, to succeed such a great leader.

I love being Mayor of Santa Fe, and I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished. With your help, I will bring the same energy and vision to serve you in the New Mexico State Legislature as a representative of  House District 46. Together, we can make New Mexico a state that works for all of us.

I look forward to working with my colleagues at the state level to bring meaningful change to New Mexico. Together, we will create jobs and continue the good work to improve the economy; improve the public education system for all our children; and continue to partner with Native American communities to increase opportunities and services. I’m hopeful that we can move District 46 and all of New Mexico forward, and I’m ready for this new challenge.

I believe that northern New Mexico – the place I grew up in - is full of hope for a better future for our kids. Let’s make that hope a reality. Let’s make New Mexico a state that works for all of us – un lugar para todos.
